wt is curruption?

i want to learn exectly wt is curruption?is it disonesty? or is ommission of duty? or any other thing ? i m working in legal services and felt so many times demoralized due to others activities ,hurt because of others without any fault on my account.we are posted to deliver justice to others but we also need justice to overselves...tell me your views..................
